Kaltjiti Arts was established as an independent art centre in the mid-1970’s at Fregon on the edge of the sand dune country of the Great Victorian desert. The individualism and bright palette of Kaltjiti artists has engendered a consistently growing following. The art centre supports cultural maintenance and provides significant employment opportunities to the community members.
