Ernabella Arts

Celebrating its 60^th anniversary in 2008, Ernabella Arts is Australia’s oldest continuously running Indigenous art centre. Over the years Ernabella artists have worked in different mediums with extraordinary proficiency, from acrylics on canvas, to batik, and soft sculptures. Senior men have embraced painting, with artist Dickie Minyintiri winning the overall Telstra NATSIAA award in 2011.  The Ernabella ceramics studio has broken new ground, bringing young men and women into the studio, producing work that is winning wide acclaim.
