Our Mob
Since 2006, OUR MOB: Art by South Australian Aboriginal Artists has provided a platform for contemporary First Nations artists to share their stories, ideas and art with audiences. Presented by Adelaide Festival Centre, the annual exhibition showcases the diversity and depth of works created by First Nations artists across South Australia.
Ku Arts is proud to continue sponsorship of the OUR YOUNG MOB award which encourages creative practice and cultural expression from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists aged 18 and under. We are proud of every one of Our Young Mob who has chosen to share this with us.
OUR MOB is celebrated for its inclusiveness, accessibility for artists and its collaborative approach.
Supporting OUR MOB since commencement, Ku Arts annual SICAD series of artistic workshops and professional development programs provide artists with the opportunity to explore new methods and mediums to invigorate their creative practice and develop longer-term, community-driven projects.
OUR MOB comprises of three exhibitions: OUR MOB: Art by South Australian Aboriginal Artists; OUR YOUNG MOB for artists under 18 years, and a solo exhibition from the recipient of the previous years’ Emerging Artist Award.
