DUNJIBA FASHIONS

Debuting at the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair, Country To Couture fashion show in Darwin in 2021, Dunjiba Fashions is a celebration of Dunjiba, a contemporary clothing capsule of sportswear and bush skirts blazoned with vibrant textile patterns designed by artists within Ku Arts workshops over the last 3 years. The Dunjiba Fashions project brings into light these unparalleled designs, from fabric samples, patternmaking to production, photography and documentation. The Dunjiba Fashions project centres on realising community ambitions in contemporary art, textile and fashion design.

Dunjiba fashions is a micro-enterprise from remote Oodnadatta, Dunjiba Community, SA. Artwork licencing for this range has been provided through Copyright Agency. Manufacturing through The Social Studio, an accredited ethical clothing manufacturing studio in Collingwood, Melbourne. Seed income from retail purchases of Dunjiba Fashion items will support future creative and artistic programs led by Dunjiba artists.
